HER LITTLE HEART

The soft green grass
still wet with the morning dew,
drenched those two tiny feet
as they danced on the green blades.

The feet had grown older
yet were so tiny,
soft as the dirt beneath them
getting stronger day by day.

The little baby girl
now a sweet little toddler,
running around in a magical field
filled with flowers as fragile as her body.

She danced around barefoot
wrapped in her beautiful dress,
beholding the sun rising over the horizon,
her wide, blue eyes watched the sky
as the painter of her dreams painted it in bright colours
so her thoughts could fly.

She believed in that painter
who made her life complete with every pleasure,
not realizing that life is more than her little mortal treasure,
for her story had just begun
and tragedies are yet to come.
